About Us

The Caregivers is a locally owned and operated provider of personal, non-medical home care based in Marion, IA, proudly serving Marion, Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, Palo, Atkins, Robins, Fairfax, and surrounding communities. We are dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence and safely age in place through compassionate, dependable in-home support. Our long-term care services include light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation assistance, and companionship. Led by Krista and an experienced caregiving team, we also offer specialized supportive therapies, including Restorative Range of Motion, Senior Exercise Programs, and Music Therapy. We work closely with palliative care and hospice professionals when additional support is needed to ensure comprehensive care. With office hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and a 24-hour helpline available, The Caregivers is committed to providing peace of mind and exceptional care when you can't be there.

Our Specialties include:

Hospice Care through Hospice Entities
Companionship: Providing friendly companionship, meaningful social interaction, and regular visits to promote emotional well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Services may also include assistance with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and other household activities that help individuals maintain a safe, comfortable, and independent living environment.
Care (Personal Care): Hands-on support with personal hygiene, mobility, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and other essential daily tasks to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
Comprehensive Care: Managing long-term health needs, including recovery after a fall, dementia care, chronic illness support, and collaboration with palliative and hospice care services. This approach addresses the individual’s overall well-being rather than focusing on a single condition or diagnosis.
Consulting Services: One-on-one guidance to help individuals and families navigate care plans, evaluate care options, and develop effective solutions tailored to their unique needs. Consulting services can also include training on specific caregiving skills and support strategies, even when other care services are already in place, providing an additional perspective to help ensure the best possible plan of care.

Are caregivers available 24 hours a day?

Yes. The Caregivers offers around‑the‑clock care, including overnight, weekend, and holiday services. While office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a 24‑hour phone line is always available for questions or urgent needs.
